Located in Concord Massachusetts, InteliMap has been delivering niche data sets since 1995. Its flagship product, the Electric Boundary File, was a big success during the height of deregulation. The company capitalized on its success and expanded its boundary offering to include Gas Boundaries and to supplement both files with comprehensive energy data sets. More recently it has merged its data with EPA eGRID emissions data to help calculate carbon offsets and determine retrofit payback schedules.

In 2000, InteliMap expanded its business by entering into a strategic relationship with FOIA Group, Inc, a Washington D.C. based law firm specializing in Freedom of Information requests. Together they developed GBL (Government Buyers Lists), another highly successful data product identifying federal and state employees that use government issued credit cards to make office purchases. Every transaction made by a government buyer is tracked and categorized allowing GBL customers the luxury of marketing to purchasers by industry, SIC Code and vendor name.

The company has developed a base of government contractors as customers for its marketing and competitive intelligence reports. Using government procurement data as well as its credit card files, InteliMap produces agency, company and market analysis reports for companies bidding large government jobs.
